Department of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation
   The Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation plays an essential role especially in a highly industrialized, transportation developed, and aging society.

   The department of physical medicine & rehabilitation strives to treat patients both mentally and physically through various specialized programs such as rehabilitation of spinal cord injury, stroke and traumatic brain injury, pediatric rehabilitation, amputation rehabilitation, pain rehabilitation and sports rehabilitation.

   Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation can be classified into three fields, musculoskeletal system, medical rehabilitation, and electro-diagnosis.

   Musculoskeletal system medicine treats dysfunction and pain caused by musculoskeletal symptoms through drug, injection, physical, sports, and brace and all other treatments excluding surgical treatments.

   Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation treats dysfunction and complication caused by the central nervous system symptoms, peripheral nerve and muscle symptoms, stroke (cerebral stroke), spinal cord injury, cerebral palsy, peripheral neuritis and muscular dystrophy as to improve the function and minimize abnormality to enable patients to live a normal life and enjoy their life to the fullest.
Lastly, electro-diagnosis diagnoses neuromuscular symptoms using EMG tests.
