Department of Laboratory Medicine
   The Department of Laboratory Medicine uses blood, urine and body fluid derived from the human body to conduct necessary tests such as biochemistry, hematology, immunology, urine microscopy, nuclear medicine and molecular genetics. It aims to perform early detection of disease, prognosis determination, the assessment of risk factors of developing diseases and treatment effects. Furthermore, the blood bank is responsible for supplying blood as to enable safe blood transfusion, blood donation and donor apheresis. Various test regimens at Department of Laboratory Medicine are making every effort to provide top quality medical service in association with the latest medical information and technology.

Laboratory Information System (LIS)
The Department of Laboratory Medicine provides prompt diagnosis results to its patients through Laboratory Information System (LIS).
User-Friendly Master Management (flexibility)
  1. User reports of Delta, Panic, Critical value, CRR, AMR check upon identification of abnormality
  2. One step automatic reexamination and reexamination accept function enabled upon identification of abnormality
  3. Registration of related tests on the master to enable viewing and decoding in one screen
  4. Data and trend check function using details of previous results
  5. Patient information, results, time by stage view function and reexamination print function using reexamination results list
  6. Patient information, before & after modification results, time view function and modification rate print function using modified results list
  7. Test duration monitoring using TAT program and job analysis function at each stage (pre-analysis, analysis, post-analysis)

(Quality Assurance)
In order to provide quick and precise results, our hospital conducts thorough quality control activities 2 to 5 times a year with domestic and overseas certification review (see below) on accuracy of test value. Furthermore, the due diligence is conducted every 2 years not only on accuracy of test value but on laboratory environment, safety and quality assurance level as well. Our hospital has been certified with high scores from domestic and overseas certification agency.
