Department of Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery

   Department of Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery is one of the specialized surgical areas that is responsible for the diagnosis of and surgical treatment for diseases occurring in vital organs in the chest cavity, including heart, lung, esophagus, aorta, vena cavae, mediastinum, diaphragm, trachea and major arteries and veins.
   It is mainly classified as Division of Cardiovascular Surgery and Division of General Thoracic Surgery.
   Division of Cardiovascular Surgery manages congenital cardiac anomalies and acquired diseases of the heart and vascular system.
   At the division of General Thoracic Surgery, surgical treatments are performed for the diseases of the lung, bronchus, pleura, esophagus, mediastinum, diaphragm and moreover pneumothorax and hyperhidrosis as well.
